Basic Personality:
Kyo is a temperamental, stubborn, loud mouth that easily takes offence to anything anyone could say to him. Kyo is quick to anger, which often leads to Kyo picking fights to vent his rage. Kyo is quite blunt with his opinions making others believe him to be rude, though Kyo often acts or speaks before thinking he genuinely doesn’t mean to cause offence and often regrets his actions.

Kyo tries to distance himself from others as he believes himself to be a monster and unworthy of any love that someone might give to him. Kyo often overreacts as he is anxious that someone might find out his curse or witness his true nature and reject him. Kyo tries to protect himself by rejecting others first or picking fights with them to make them hate him.

Kyo despite his attempts to distance himself from the people around him is extremely popular with those around him; his popularity has been blamed on his fiery temper and his unusual colourings. His students though respectful of his popularity all like to tease him and have created many nicknames for Kyo such as cat lover, orange head, carrot top, Kyon-Kyon, Kyonkichi all of which Kyo loathes. The students love to tease Kyo about his nicknames as they love to watch him blow his top.

Kyo dislikes leeks and miso to the point that it makes him wear gas masks when cooking it or being around it. Kyo also, because of the nature of his curse, hates the rain and water as it always weakens him.

Background:
Kyo turned up in Neisenma 6 months ago with none to little recollection of his life prior to his arrival but only with a vague sense that something had weakened within himself. Kyo currently lives by himself in a very small apartment in the Midgar slums.

Kyo bought and built up a dojo from scratch, which is located in the second level of Midgar and caters for the aspiring working class and the middle classes. Kyo in particular teaches a free class every Wednesday evenings for women who wish to learn to defend themselves.

Kyo re-found out about his curse when an overzealous female student hugged him for his help with her studies, luckily the student did not see his transformation. Since this incident Kyo has continued on with his life but has become more weary of interaction with women and though teaches them is very careful not to touch or come into contact with any of his female students.

Kyo with no contact to family, or knowledge of how he came to be cursed is seeking to find out more about his curse and also to break the curse so he can have a normal life. Kyo also wishes to find his family and rejoin them, if they are alive.

Listed weapons and magical abilities:
Kyo wears a Juzu bracelet made from black and white beads. The bracelet, which is said to have been made from the human bones of a warrior priest, conceals and confines Kyo’s true cursed form.
Kyo when stressed exhausted or is hugged by an opposite member of the sex turns into an orange/ginger cat. If Kyo however is not wearing his beads he turns into a foul smelling monster that has flesh tearing claws and sharp angular teeth.
